At 865parts.com we recondition 865 patty machines as a regular part of our business.  We feel In order to properly rebuild a machine; you must first, in stage one, disassemble the machine, piece by piece, bolt by bolt, in order to inspect it for hidden wear and to properly assess its condition.

Once the machine is fully disassembled, we inspect each part and categorize into one of 4 categories: (1) replace, (2) repair, (3) replate/repaint or (4) reuse. As we approach the rebuild process there are a number of items that we replace without evaluating condition, namely bushings, bearings, chains and springs.

During our original evaluation, we separate items that are costly to replace but might have an unacceptable level of wear.  These items we submit for repair if practical and replaced if not repairable.  They may have a stripped thread or a worn area where a shaft slides.  These items are candidates for weld and tap, Heli-coil thread repair or sleeving. In any case, the repaired part should expect the same lifespan as a new one. During our original evaluation, we separate items that are costly to replace but might have an unacceptable level of wear.

Once we have completed any machining required we group these parts with those that rarely see any significant wear, such as a piece of the frame or an aluminum casting. These items are stripped of plating or paint and recoated based on how it was originally coated. In the case of an aluminum casting, we glass bead blast to restore its luster.

Once all parts are ready for assembly, our technicians begin from the base frame up assembling with new stainless steel hardware. Once we finish Stage 1 assembly we rewire the unit using new SO cabling, a stainless steel electrical box and new electrical switches and components completing Stage 2 of our reconditioning program.

Stage 3 entails assembly and testing of the auger feed, mold plate drive and paper feed mechanisms. Once assembled the machine is lubricated and run in our shop without meat. We then give the machine a final inspection for mechanical soundness and appearance, palletized and prepared for shipment.

In some situations, we can offer machine start up and training at the customer’s location. Please contact us for details.
